Ayurveda and Yoga have been a part of my life for over ten years. After experiencing firsthand what living according to these wisdoms can mean for your mental and physical well-being, I felt the desire to share this. And what could be better than following my heart and dedicating my work to helping others? That’s what truly makes me happy!
It was quite a journey to discover my deeper purpose. After finishing high school, I didn’t immediately know what I wanted to do next. I studied hotel management, worked as a model in Italy and Spain, and went back to studying. The final “Western” study I completed is a master’s degree in Economics at Nyenrode University.
When I started working in the field of business and finance, I knew right away that this wasn’t my path either. Although I’ve certainly enjoyed my time there, I’ve experienced that it takes a lot of energy to spend so much time of your life doing something that doesn’t provide you with deep inner joy. I always felt a little lost, as if I was living in a theater play. I knew there had to be something else in life, but no one told me how to interpret that feeling or how to figure out what my path was. I often searched for ways to escape the gap I felt inside of me. Not surprisingly, I also encountered several physical discomforts, from back pain to abdominal pain and menstrual discomfort.
When I discovered Ayurveda, I found a way to reconnect with my inner wisdom. A natural and inevitable result was to make some changes in my life. Besides feeling physically better than ever, I also experienced much more connection with the world around me. Today, I’d love nothing more than to introduce you to this ancient wisdom and let you experience the magic of Ayurveda!
For me, Ayurveda is all about aligning your life and your actions with your inner truth. Deep down, all of us know everything we need to know; we all carry a source of inner wisdom inside of us. I like to think of it as a round table of wise older women inside my body. Ayurveda helps you to reconnect with this inner knowing. It encourages you to recognize your true self, and provides you with practical tools to get going. This can be (and often starts with) dietary advice, lifestyle advice, and herbal supplements. Once your body and mind get back on the same page with their blueprint, your path will unfold much more clearly.
What I love about Ayurveda is that it enables you to step back into your power. It places the responsibility for your well-being with the only person who is able to influence it — you! At the same time, the principles are quite simple and can be learned and used by anyone. My mission is to bring an Ayurveda-based natural lifestyle into your life — in a way that works for you!
I’m currently studying for Ayurvedic therapist at Delight Academy in Amsterdam. In addition, I’m committed to constantly deepening my knowledge and skills in holistic life through various courses and training programs.
